![]() ![]() Fortnight, Overwatch just being the first ones I thought of. They describe themselves as an Online Game Platform, where users can create games, and you can play games and worlds created by others.Īnd this brings so many more 'skin' games to mind. Roblox seems like what might happen if Minecraft and Fortnite had a baby, and dressed it up as Second Life. The state of the art in online multiplayer is miles above what it was when SL started.Īs far as I can tell, not being a Roblox player myself. There are just SO MANY awesome games out there, many of which give you a solid multiplayer game experience, which also have vibrant communities of players, many of which band together in clans or guilds, with their own Discord chats, group gatherings, etc. Off the top of my head I'd probably say "World of Warcraft", "Grand Theft Auto V", "Star Trek Online" just as a few random examples. I can start pointing out the uncountable universe of MMOs and online games. but it is the best selling videogame in history, and there are lots of roleplay communities, modded servers, and so on. Make no mistake here, it's definitely a game. Minecraft is an open 'sandbox' style game, that allows you to build and create just about anything. and there's plenty of DLC to spend real money on. It can be quite a time sink, guiding your little Sims through their lives, building homes, decorating, etc. but there's some of the same DNA there that SL has. That said, a number of content creators in SL also sell wares in IMVU.ĭefinitely a game, and in almost all incarnations it's single player. ![]() ![]() IMVU is a much more 'chat room' styled service, and the avatars there are not as complex as the avatars in Second Life. I also tried Kitely but oh boy what a desert it seems to be.Ī tight hug in your mesh or system bodies! I have tried Sansar and it seems to be at a stage it needs more developers and testers than RPers at the moment. I do miss the community and everything related to it and I'm aware nothing is like Second Life. I don't think a digital miracle will happen and the Lab will accept me back and given the many layers of security they have - albeit some say it's possible - circumventing that doesn't sound quite right for a plethora of reasons (one of them being that I was a paying user and begging to return and keep spending sounds weird when you think of how much I can save, right). It's not like I don't regret it, but my account has been permanently terminated and it's all gone now. First and foremost thanks for taking the time to read and (maybe) help me! The community is the best one I have been member of in my active days and the subreddit never fails to impress me! ![]()
